I hold an undergraduate degree in Economics and an MA in Counselling.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and a Registered Member of the Association of Christian Counsellors. This means that I am regulated by professional bodies, have regular supervision, am bound by a Code of Conduct and engage in ongoing development of my knowledge, skills and practice. I am fully insured and hold an Enhanced DBS certificate.

I have enjoyed a career in various senior roles in business and in running my own consultancy practice. I retrained in counselling after experiencing illness and bereavement. Talking therapy helped me to gain insight into my responses to difficult situations and to experience the power of being listened to in a totally non-judgemental way.

I practice with a Christian ethos although I welcome those of other faiths and of no faith. I work in a supportive way to enable you to explore what is happening in your life in a safe, empathic and non-judgemental way to help you seek and find calmer waters. I am trained as an integrative counsellor, which means that I am able to draw on a variety of approaches to work in ways which are comfortable for you, including using creative interventions. I will be led by you, giving you control over our work together.

I offer a free initial 30 minute appointment in which we can meet to discuss your situation, what you hope to achieve from counselling and to determine whether we might be a ‘good fit’
